Senior Lead Software Engineer – React/Java Full Stack

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer – React / Full Stack at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking – Card Small Business team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

**Job responsibilities**

* Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
* Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
* Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
* Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
* Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm wide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
* Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
* Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**

* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
* Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
* Advanced in one or more programming language(s) and frameworks (e.g., Java, UI – React, Angular, CSS/HTML, Spring Boot, Spring, Spring Batch, Micro Services, Kafka, Containers, Rest API, Hibernate, Swagger, and Skaffold)
* Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
* Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle – requirement analysis, design, implementation, and testing
* Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD pipelines building with Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, Application Resiliency, and Security
* Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
* Proficiency with Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Test Driven Development (TDD), and hands-on experience with test automation frameworks
* In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
* Practical cloud native experience (e.g. AWS – S3, EKS, ECS, SQS, Lambda, Terraform, Code Deploy and PCF)

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills*** AWS/CKAD Certification
* Experience using NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, Dynamo DB, Elastic Search
