As a Software Engineer III – Full Stack Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
You will be developing mobile features that give our customers and clients more control over how they bank with us, strategizing on how big data can make our trading systems quicker, creating the next innovation in payments for merchants and supporting the integration of our private and public cloud platforms.
**Job responsibilities**
* Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java or Python to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams
* Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
* Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
* Produces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
* Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
* Identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
* Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
* Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions
* Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience
* Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
* Requires experience with the following: React, Java/J2EE, Python, and AWS.
* Proficient in coding in one or more languages: Java or Python
* Hands-on experience in Private and Public Cloud Platforms like, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
* Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
* Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
* Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

* Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
