Senior Software Engineer

**About this role:**

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing solutions to support our mission of improving system resiliency and performance. The ideal candidate is proactive problem-solver with extensive experience in software engineering and a passion for technology.

**In this role, you will:*** Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
* Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
* Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
* Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
* Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
* Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
* Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
* Design, develop, and implement software solutions to enhance system reliability, performance and scalability.
* Develop and maintain high-quality RESTful APIs.

**Required Qualifications:*** 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
* 3+ years experience with back-end development languages and frameworks (eg., Java/J2EE, Spring, Gradle, .NET Core)
* 3+ years experience in front-end development using Angular (preferred) or React and an understanding of UX/UI design principles
* 3+ years experience in designing and development highly scalable distributed systems using Microservices Architecture.
* 3+ years experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs
* 3+ years experience with relational and non relational databases – SQL, Oracle, MongoDB
* 2+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform and configuration management using Ansible, Python. Capable of designing and automating deployment pipelines, managing infrastructure through code, and improving existing automation frameworks.

**Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:*** Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

**Desired Qualifications:*** Experience in Data Streaming platforms like Kafka
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
* Knowledge of JavaScript and observability tools (i.e., ThousandEyes)
* Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps Engineering. Used at least few of the tools like – Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, SonarQube, Checkmarx, uDeploy, Harness etc
* Experience in monitoring and dashboarding tools like – ELK, Grafana, Kibana, App Dynamics etc.
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence)
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
