Overview:
The Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation is looking for an outstanding Administrative Assistant and Social Media Coordinator (AASMC) to join our amazing team! The TNBC Foundation team culture is built on kindness, respect for each other and a dedication to supporting the triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) community.
This New Jersey based position is remote, however, there are a limited number of in-person requirements throughout the year which may include travel. Examples are listed in the description below. This position will begin with basic administrative and social media responsibilities, however, the AASMC is expected to quickly learn and grow so they can fully support and provide back-up for the current team.
**Responsibilities (include but not limited to):**
Customer Service – Reply to voicemail and email messages from patients, families, donors and others needing assistance, making sure all follow-up is complete.
Database Management – Purging duplicate records, making sure addresses are up-to-date, etc. The AASMC will be required to complete online training for Raiser’s Edge software unless already proficient with this platform.
Donation Processing – Assist with processing donations and provide backup support for the donation manager.
Programs – Assist the TNBC staff with a variety of program-related tasks including providing administrative support for virtual patient support meetings which may take place in the evening or during the work day. Assistance with additional virtual events may be required throughout the year.
Social Media – In collaboration with TNBC staff, coordinate all social media communications for TNBC Foundation including creating graphics for social media posts, maintaining a social media calendar, and replying to DM’s and other communications. Build and maintain relationships with influencers, bloggers, and other industry professionals to expand our reach and influence. Analyze social media metrics and adjust social media strategies accordingly to optimize performance.
**In-Person Requirements:**
Annual Gala – Usually held on a weeknight evening in May in Northern, New Jersey. All staff are required to arrive early and help with set-up, check-in guests, assist with event activities and remain after to help with breaking down the event.
Conferences – TNBC Foundation sets up exhibitor tables at select breast cancer conferences throughout the year. The administrative assistant is expected to assist the team with the logistics of exhibiting and will be required to travel to the conference on a weekend and help set up and staff the exhibitor table. Travel expenses are covered by TNBC Foundation.
Social Media – Attend occasional events where social media coverage is needed.
**Professional Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s Degree
* Experience working as an administrative assistant or similar role
* Experience working in social media marketing including graphic design work
* Excellent writing, proofreading and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software platforms: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
* Previous experience with Raiser’s Edge software is a plus
